Make a Image Transparent For Your Website Tutorial

Sometimes you want an image on your website but it does not fit well because It has a white or some other color background that does not match your website.  I will show you how to make this image transparent so It fits everywhere. Its not really hard. There is several ways to do this but this is the way I do it. You can download the original file here.

Open the file you want to fix the blow It up so It’s easier to work on (ctrl-+), then select the magic want tool (W) and click on the white area. You can select more areas by holding shift and adding more to the selection.

Then I used the “Rectangular Marquee Tool” (M) to select the rest of the Buzz it holding “shift” so only the logo was remaining unselected.

After that you can Inverse your selection (ctrl-shift-i) then select the “Add layer mark” button in the layer palette.

Image should look like this below and almost done!

All you need now is to add some text. Use the “type tool” (T) and enter your text.

Now you want to save your finished image as a .PNG , you can do this by saving for “web and devices” (Alt-Shift-Ctrl-S) and select the preset of png 24 for best transparency results.
